I am fairly new to the home improvement game. Given this, I have a ton of questions everytime I make a change to my home. Unfortunately, mom and pop home improvement stores are almost extinct and the big box stores like Lowes and Home Depot aren&;t much help. Sure, when these stores first opened, they were staffed with retired engineers, electricians and contractors. Now if you are lucky enough to find a blue or orange vest, the help is in or right out of college and their only experience with homes is living in their parents. I remember I was looking for a trashcan in Home Depot a few weeks back and asked where they were. The response: “We don&;t sell those here.” Seriously? It took every civilized bone in my body not to laugh in the associates face, talk about LAZY but I digress…
