Introducing….the Bagster. Whether you want to do a little house cleaning and de-cluttering, or are in the middle of cleaning out your garage or attic this bag can handle everything you need to put in it, including the kitchen sink. You can put rocks, concrete, and sod from your yard in it or construction waste materials. It may not look like much but it can hold up to 3,300 lbs. of unwanted household stuff and measures 8 Ft. L x 4 Ft. W x 2 Ft. 6 In. H.
The Bagster is the brain child of Waste Management. The bag itself costs about $30 at your local home improvement store and then you pay for the bag to get picked up by Waste Management. The cost of pick up varies by region but when I put my zip code in, the cost was $139 for 1 Bagster and $119 for each additional Bagster, as long as they are all being picked up at once in the same location.
Who wants to rent a huge expensive dumpster when you don&;t need to? To compare, I inquired about renting a small10 yard dumpster that holds about 1 ton worth of stuff, and the cost was $325. So, it seems like the Bagster is a better value, even if you have to fill up 2 bags.
There are some restrictions on what you can put in the Bagster. Restrictions include toxic hazardous materials, such as oil, paint, batteries, and tires. Appliances, liquids, electronics and food waste are also prohibited. A full list of restrictions can be found here.
